I know that you’re a professional, have done hundreds of interviews, and you’re great at what you do. And I’m sure that part of the reason is because you’re prepared. And while it would be great if you read the book, I know you’re busy and I don’t expect you to. This is why I created a press kit with links, benefits from the book, bullet points, takeaways, interesting facts, and summaries. My hope is that this will add value to your listeners, readers, or viewers. During our interview, I will be fully engaged. My entire focus is to make you look good and deliver value to your audience. My goal is to serve you, not the other way around. I know that if I do this well, your audience will feel served and will naturally be interested in the book. I’ve created this media kit to make your job easier. If you need anything else, please email me. I can’t wait for our chat.

Nearly every child has aspirations of what they want to be when they grow up. Fast forward their lives and almost 8 in 10 of them, as adults, aren’t working in their gifts and talents. And we see the impact. Millions of adults are squandering their talents and wasting their time in jobs they don’t love. They feel trapped and dissatisfied. But where did it start? Many times, it started in childhood. My Father Said I Could is about four African-American siblings that have big dreams, and how they overcome doubt, fear, and naysayers by listening to one steady, comforting voice.
This inspiring book, teaches children…
· How to handle the doubt, unbelief, and fear in others as well as in themselves
· The timeless lesson of continuing to ask, seek and knock for opportunities
· To explore their own unique gifts and talents
· To learn to accept the twists and turns that life brings while continuing to pursue their own destiny despite the many voices they hear along the way.
Author, coach, and speaker Anita McLaurin paints a picture of four African-American siblings who have big dreams. Their father equips them with the tools to follow their dreams, so they can experience the freedom to pursue their own path, utilize their gifts and talents, and live a life of significance.
Anita M. McLaurin has always had a gift for teaching. Through her speaking, writing, and coaching, she helps people with unfulfilled dreams dispel the negative voices, discover their dreams, and design a plan to make those dreams reality, so they can live an authentic, purposeful life.
As a young girl, Anita struggled to dispel the voices that tried to derail her from the path to her dreams. As a young woman, she discovered how to shut out those voices and focus on her goals. Today a transformed woman, Anita invests her time helping others overcome fear and doubt, so that they can live their dreams.
Earning a bachelor's and master's degree, Anita is the founder of A. McLaurin Group, which serves the business and the nonprofit community. She and her husband Eric are blessed with one amazing child and live outside San Antonio, Texas.

“Dreaming is one of the most powerful exercises one can participate in leading to successful outcomes throughout life. Anita has gifted our children with a book which ushers them into this amazing world. I invite you to enjoy My Father Said I Could with your children, & plant seeds that will germinate in your family.”
"This book is a must for both children and adults. I Loved It Too Much. I have paid thousands of dollars to coaches to help me visualize my dreams. My Father Said I Could does the same thing."
"Father Said I Could harkens the necessity for positive affirmations. This book is a wonderful illustration of capturing the dream in each of us and believing that we can. Others will be able to relate to the characters as I was able to relate to Ana. We believe in what our Father says we can do. "
“My Father Said I Could are the strongest and most empowering words we can ever speak and believe. But Anita does not just leave it at that; while equipping and empowering our children, and introducing them to writing the vision down, she engages and trains parents how to promote and support this. I daresay, some adults will reach back, brush off their own dreams, stand a little taller, and dare to go forward quoting, My Father Said I Could!"
